Her misfortunes have also sadly included several miscarriages with her husband Mike Fisher.

Eventually, the couple made a choice to sell their luxury home and moved to a farm with they built from scratch.

Carrie Underwood is widely known as one of the world’s most well-respected and talented country musicians. The Oklahoma native has sold over 70 million records worldwide and holds the distinction of being the female artist with the most number-one singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood found her fame after her season four win on the hit competition series “American Idol” in 2005.

It was three years later, at one of her own concerts, that she met NHL player Mike Fisher. The two were engaged in December 2009 and married six months later.

Today, Carrie and Mike have been married for about 12 years. The two met for the first time through some friends, though it wasn’t until a year later that they hit it off during a Meet & Greet.

Reportedly, Carrie’s bassist, Mark Childers, knew Mike Fisher and had previously tried to pair the two together, but it never seemed to work out. Thankfully, the Meet & Greet was different.

“We kind of missed seeing each other and meeting each other a couple times and he finally drove to Toronto to see us play and I was like ‘man this is going to be awkward’ meeting somebody and everybody’s going to be standing there watching us,” Carrie explained on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

In the early stages of their marriage, the couple moved into Underwood’s massive Nashville mansion. They also made the decision to buy 400 underdeveloped acres in the area. According to reports, the couple paid around $2,900,000 for the property, located in the foothills south of Nashville.

The two lived in a state of bliss, with Underwood telling People in 2019:

”I feel like he is the person I was meant to be with.”

Underwood’s fall happened outside the steps of her home, and she suffered multiple injuries. Fisher was away for work at the time, but immediately traveled back to Nashville to be with his wife.

The star broke a wrist and experienced cuts and abrasions on her body. Later, while speaking to Tracy Smith of CBS News in 2018, Underwood opened up about the accident and explained that she even had to receive 40-50 stitches on her face.

Unfortunately, the star had also experienced other misfortunes before her accident that made it pale in comparison. A pregnancy in 2017 ended in a miscarriage for the couple.

The couple was happy to find out that they were pregnant again later that year but lost this pregnancy again Underwood and Fisher experienced a third miscarriage in 2018 as well.

Understandably, Underwood feared that her next pregnancy would end the same way. Convinced she was experiencing a fourth miscarriage, she even began to sob and pray to God to protect her unborn child.

Miraculously, on her next visit to the doctor, she found out that her child was safe. Her pregnancy came to term and had the couple’s second son, Jacob, on January 21, 2019. Overjoyed, Underwood said:

“And I was like ‘You heard me.’ Not that He hasn’t in the past. But maybe, I don’t know, He HEARD me.”

Later, months after her traumatic fall, Underwood and her family sold their original Nashville home and relocated to their custom-built estate 30 minutes away from the center of Nashville. The singer told Country and Living:

”My husband and I are designing our ‘forever’ home. My must-haves are a wood-burning fireplace, a porch swing, and rocking chairs.”

The family seems determined to make their custom home their forever home. Their custom-built farm features a lot of rooms. The couple have a basement, living rooms in a beige and grey color scheme, luxury bathrooms fireplaces, and beautiful bedrooms.

Carrie, her husband, and their two boys live their days happily on the ranch. Refusing to buy groceries for her family, Underwood and her husband even grow their own food on their rural property!

Beautiful beautiful family! God Bless you all!
