The boys on the Lomira High School wrestling team from Lomira, Wisconsin are being hailed as heroes this week after they spend their snow day selflessly shoveling snow for their neighbors.

Most kids spend their snow days lounging around the house or playing out in the snow. When school was cancelled in Lomira due to snow on January 28, however, the local wrestling team decided to get to work!
Almost a foot of snow fell across southeast Wisconsin that weekend through that Monday morning, which left many members of the community in need of help dealing with the snow. These caring teenagers were all too happy to help them!
“We’re so incredibly proud of our Lomira High School Wrestling team for spending their day off of school again helping others with snow removal! Thank you to all of them and also a huge shout out to Jamie Feucht (our Booster Club President) for organizing and working alongside the boys,” the Lomira Booster Club posted on Facebook along with photos of the boys shoveling. “We are hearing such positive feedback from so many community members. We are proud of these amazing athletes!!”
Social media users have praised the boys for stepping up to help their community.

“Great group of kids! Awesome job! More teams and schools should do this,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Awesome job! It may be frigid outside, but this is ‘heartwarming!’”
