Four-Month-Old Baby Melts Hearts “Talking” To Father
Every parent has plenty of important moments that they will forever remember with their child, but it is often those small moments that steal one’s heart. One video has recently gone viral of a new parent with his child.
In a video shared by Jackie Spencer in 2016, a young father is in deep conversation with his four-month-old baby. He is sitting on the couch holding the baby. They’re both snuggled up and ready for some bonding time, and that’s when dad decides to have a long talk with his new baby. The baby looks at his daddy with such soft eyes and a warm smile.
The child happily responds to the father by babbling and cooing. Seeing the two of them locked in such a wonderful conversation will make you think of your own experiences with your own children.
Somewhere along the way, the father decides to try to speak his son’s language and starts cooing and babbling back. The child clearly enjoys this conversation and happily responds by shaking his hands excitedly. Although the conversation may not sound coherent to anyone, father and son clearly know what they are talking about and go back and forth.
According to speech pathologist Rachel Cortese, imitating your child’s sounds helps improve his communication skills. Your child will begin to try to explain how they feel and will try to communicate other important information to you. Of course, at such a young age, you may not fully understand their chatter, but as they get older, they will become excellent communicators.
Childhood is one of the most important periods in a child’s development. By screaming and grunting, your child is trying to form words but can’t make the right sounds. With more conversations throughout your baby’s childhood, she will eventually be able to put the sounds together to say her first word, which is often “mama” or “dad”.
Communicating with your child in this way is probably one of the most important things you can do for him. Not to mention, it’s definitely a great bonding experience!
The father seems proud of his ability to hold a conversation with his son. If nothing else, the video shows just how strong their bond is. Although there will be many other moments in their lives that they will share together, Dad will probably cherish this one the most.
